There have been over 100 main-stage productions presented by the DMMO since its founding in 1973.One of the higlights of the 2007 Season was the production of Benjamin Britten's "A Midsummer Night's Dream".

 

 

Committees 2011-2012

The orchestra has two very important committees by which it is organized. The Orchestra committee, made of up of three members, represents the orchestra's membership in its relations with the management of the opera company, and in any contract negotiations. There is a member for strings, a member for winds/brass/percussion, and a member at large.

The membership of the Orchestra Committee for the 2011-2012 period is as follows:

The second major committee is the Review Committee, made up of members of the orchestra who have been elected to the committee by the membership. This committee functions only when a player's status is called into question by the management. This committee, working under specifically designed guidlines, participates in the process to insure that any dismissal/disciplinary actions are fair.
